Update and More Recipes

HHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Hi! It has only been one day but, I wanted to write anyway. In church my sister has a calling. On Saturday I got my bed. I am so happy. It is a lot easier to sleep soundly. My room is a lot cleaner and I it will be a lot easier to keep it clean. In school I have to study for biology (a test). In Child Development next Thursday we are going to watch a woman go through her pregnancy and them the birth of the baby. Kind of weird. My teacher gave us a slip for our parents to sign saying that we can watch it. In my history class we had a test. I sort of don't like that class all that much. But, as like my parents say " That doesn't mean that you can still work hard anyway." End quote. I love to write stories. I have written my on play. I was only 13 so it is kind of kiddish. When I grow up I want to be kindergarten teacher and maybe and Aurthur. I love to make up stories. Anyway there you go. Now here is you new recipe.

Recipe: Rhubarb iced-tea

Ingredients:
8-10 good sized stalks freshed red rhubarb
1/2 cup sugar
4 herbal tea bags(mint,lemon,or berry...choose something sweet)
3 quarts cold water

Directions:
  1. Chop up the stalks of rhubarb into pieces about the size of your thumb. Wash them thoroughly.
  2. Drop the rhubanb into a large pot with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn down the heat to median low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Uncover and let cool for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Put the sugar and the tea bags into a larger glass ice-tea pitcher.
  4. Pour the rhubarb water through a sieve into the pitcher, making sure rhubarb pieces don't end up in the tea bags.
  5. Pour the tea into a glass filled to the rim with ice. Add mint leaves or a sliced of lemon.

makes about 12 glasses

Catching up and something interesting

Catching Up On My Life
Hi! Sorry Aunties I've haven't been able to get to this to write. I've been good. School and other activities have been well. math I have a little hard with, but I'm still working hard. My English teacher keeps giving us work. We are doing a book report, but she has separated it into 4 parts. We have done 2 already. Its kind of fun. It all depends on what you like. Reading a lot or very little. Church has been fun and great. In my church class at school I've learned more about the scriptures. My friends are funny and nice to hang around with. My teachers are nice most of the time. I want to start driving soon. We haven't been able to get the book. My friend just passed so she is going to lend me when she can find it. Also I need to get in the drivers seat. I think once I get it with my big family and all it will be very helpful. My school is nice and I like it a lot. My friends and I talk about different things and one of the subjects is boys. One of my friends was having boy problems and in the end it all worked out. So they are together. I think some of the boys are cute. There is this one boy that I think is cute. I kind of like him as well. Sometimes our eyes meet but then, one of us turn away. When I'm sitting he and his friends come around there and I have him in 3 of my classes. He He! I haven't told my mom jet. Any way I cleaned my room finally yesterday. I also reset my room. That's all for now.

Something Interesting
I read this book called Flavor of the Week. Its by Tucker Shaw. Its about a 16 year old boy who cooks. Every chapter is named after a foo the boy cooks. If you like I think that you should read it. Its not very long. The most is 219 pages. Also the Aurthur gives the recipe for each food or drink. The sound good by what the Aurthur wrote. The recipes count as some of the pages. I want to write the recipes for you. I haven't tryed cooking them yet. So I really taste good. The Aurthur has written other books. He is also a cook. The names of the food are kind of weired. Here they are:

Kitchen-sink cookies
Ingredients:
1 (3/4) cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon fresh baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 (1/4) cups firmly packed brown sugar. light or dark.
2 teaspoons whole milk
3 teaspoons real vanilla extract. Not imitation, ever.
2 cups uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1-2 cups Reese's pieces, coconut flakes, walnuts, M&M's, or what ever else you feel like

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Get all your ingredients organized. Make sure you have everything.
  3. In a median bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar on median speed until creamy, about 2 minutes.
  5. In a smaller bowl gently beat the eggs with a fork to break up yolks.
  6. Add the nutmeg, eggs, milk, and vanilla to the butter mixture; beat on median for another minute until color is even and texture is consistent.
  7. Add the four mixture to the butter mixture; mix at median speed until blended.
  8. Fold in all the good stuff: oats, chocolate chips, coconut, nuts, whatever. Do this gently. Don't over mix. in fact under mix.
  9. Drop dough by big fat rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, waxed paper, or a Silpat liner. (Don't worry about putting parchment paper or waxed paper in oven. it won't catch on fire or anything like that.)
  10. Bake 9-10 minutes in the middle of the oven. Bake in one sheet at a time, so cookies bake evenly. It takes longer this way, but it's worth it.
  11. Cool 1-2 minutes on cookie sheets;then remove to wire rack.
  12. Eat. If there are any left, store them tightly covered at room temperature.

Makes two to three dozen cookies.

The recipes are kind of long so every time I write I will just put 1 recipe. If you try this please comment to tell me how it went.

Bye! Aunties and Family (DD) please try this. (You don't have to if you don't want to!)

Thank you for reading this!

KEEP ON SMILING !

Introducing Jessies...

Hello. This is a new thing for me. I have always wanted to write a journal. This is going to be like one. I'm happy. Here are some facts about me. So, Here you go :

  • I love my mom's homemade mac & cheese
  • I love to read now (tell you later why "now")
  • I love to write stories
  • My favorite color is purple
  • I'm in tenth grade
  • I'm LDS (Mormon)
  • I'm 16 soon
  • I love working with little kids
  • My favorite animal is dogs

When I was younger I never liked to read. When I was 13 I wrote a play. My family loves being together and doing fun activities together. My family just moved. This is my first time moving when I can remember it. I had a lot of fun with my family. I had to leave my old school behind. Also friends and some family. But, I'm liven' fine. I have my new friends and I have some of my family here. I like my new school and I'm doing well too. I got all of the classes that I wanted.

In my family I'm the oldest of five. To some of you that's big and to some of you that's small. There are two girls and three boys. The order is Girl,Girl,Boy,Boy,Boy. My parents met with the church. They got married in the temple. I think that it is way cool that we can be together forever. My mom is older by a couple of years. Most of the boys I've liked I'm older than them.

I have to go. Sorry, that i wrote so much for an intro. See ya!
